Covington – Founded in 1813, the city is a mix of boutiques, fine art galleries, specialty shops and dining establishments that line the downtown streets. Special attention has been taken to make sure of the conservation of Covington’s Historical District featuring many homes and old tome businesses. Mandeville – The oldest populated city in St. Tammany Parish. Crowning jewel, Lake Pontchartrain, provides a great deal of satisfaction for boaters, swimmers, fishermen and site seeing. Sit at the lakefront and watch all kinds of crafts come and go at the harbor. Mandeville prospers as a bird sanctuary with one of the best State Parks in Louisiana, Fontainebleau St Park. The Mandeville Trailhead is the regional hub of activity with a water park for the kids, an amphitheater, a neighborhood farmer’s market and a depot museum featuring the past of city history.
Slidell – The city situated on the NE shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Saint Tammany Parish is the largest city in the Parish. There are many festivals, a large swamp area surrounds Slidell where you can see with alligators and other wildlife. The city has fine dining, shopping, and excellent accommodations. Olde Towne Antique District is open everyday plus has the Antique District Street Fair in the spring and fall.
